You have an innate ability to connect with young people and stamina to work through difficult situations. You have a Bachelor of Social Work, are working towards one, or you feel you possess the necessary skills and lived experience for this role. You have experience working alongside young people in crisis. You are an excellent communicator who can translate complex ideas and concepts into easily understood language. You are a connector working with community partners to get young people the support services they need and deserve. You are knowledgeable about the child welfare system, including relevant provincial and federal legislation, and you are comfortable challenging the status quo for the betterment of Indigenous children, youth, families, communities and Nations.
