Why Your Role Matters:
As the Indigenous Student Engagement Lead you will play a key role in ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students’ access, engagement and success in the Faculty of Law & Justice UNSW. This position involves managing the Indigenous Tuition Program (ITP) within the Law & Justice Faculty - including the selection, onboarding and management of Study Assistants, promoting the ITP within our student community, and helping to triage any academic and pastoral challenges. You will maintain accurate and comprehensive records on student’s academic progress from enrolment until graduation. You will also be involved in the planning, delivery and administration of high-quality student initiatives, programs and events that support Indigenous legal education and strengthen the Indigenous student community within UNSW Law & Justice.
The position reports to and supports the Director of Indigenous Legal Education and has no direct reports. You will play a vital role in ensuring that current and future students in the Faculty of Law & Justice feel culturally safe and empowered to succeed in their goals.
