Your work environment at EXP


EXP is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Intermediate Geotechnical Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, install, monitor, and maintain geotechnical and structural instrumentation systems. Your expertise will support critical projects by providing accurate data and insights to help make informed decisions.
 

 
 What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Plan, design, and implement geotechnical instrumentation systems, including robotic total station, piezometers, inclinometers, extensometers, load cell, and strain gauges.
  • Conduct field installations and calibrations of monitoring equipment at project sites.
  • Analyze and interpret instrumentation data to assess ground movements, stress, and subsoil conditions.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain monitoring equipment to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, project managers, and contractors.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and advancements in geotechnical instrumentation.

What your experience looks like

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in geotechnical instrumentation or a related role.
  • Proficiency with instrumentation software and data analysis tools.
  • Capable of installing and configuring robotic total station and solar power kit.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, ground behavior, and monitoring systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with advanced monitoring systems such as real-time data acquisition and remote monitoring platforms.
  • Knowledge of construction and tunneling projects.
  • Certifications in geotechnical instrumentation or related fields.
