About Us
At Small Economy Works, we are dedicated to supporting thriving, sustainable, and vibrant small communities. Our mission is to invigorate local economies through culturally responsive and locally adapted entrepreneurial training and social innovation initiatives.
SEW delivers programming that blends entrepreneurship, employment readiness, and social innovation to support Indigenous and underserved youth in rural, remote, and Northern communities. We offer culturally informed, locally relevant training and mentorship through programs like Inspire (Nunavut, Labrador, Yukon, NWT) and Initiate, with new community-led initiatives emerging all the time.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Northern Programs and Community Partners Lead—a designated role for First Nations, Inuit, or Métis candidates—to help lead program delivery, support SEW’s growing network of regional partners, and mentor our national team. This is a leadership role grounded in relationships, respect, and community, with real influence in shaping the future of our programming alongside youth and partners across the North.
We are looking for someone who brings deep care and responsibility to their work with Indigenous youth, and who is grounded in the realities, strengths, and challenges of Northern and rural communities. Whether you're building relationships with Elders and community leaders, supporting delivery teams, or contributing to SEW’s broader direction, your leadership will help shape how our work stays rooted in community as it grows and evolves.

Working With SEW
SEW fosters a supportive, values-aligned team environment. This role is remote, with a preference for candidates living in or strongly connected to Northern or rural communities. Travel will at times be required to support programming and relationship-building.
We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every listed requirement—what matters most is your grounding in community, leadership potential, and commitment to the growth of Indigenous youth.
