About Us:

Purple Potties & Environmental Services Inc. is an Ottawa based portable washroom rental company. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our units as well as our flexibility in providing responsive, professional, customer service. We are currently expending to Kingston and Belleville area and we are looking for an experienced Pump Truck Driver to join our team and help with the expansion of the business.

About The Role: Pump Truck Operator

In this role, the Pump Truck Operator reports directly to the Operations Supervisor and may have direction given by the Office Manager as well as any appointed Team Leader.

Responsibilities:

• Drive and operate pump truck and other heavy trucks.
• Load, unload inventory in trucks and trailers.
• Ensure secure loads when transporting equipment
• Perform daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and pos-trip) and ensure that company vehicles are clean, organized and maintained properly, inside and outside
• Follow directions on software application and record appropriate information
• Pump out, clean, sanitize and restock rental units
• Ensure job site is organized and free of clutter, garbage and any other mess
• Put tools and other items back in their designated place at the end of use or shift.
• Review stock levels and ensure adequate supply, notify supervisor of items getting low
• Always demonstrate professionalism when communicating with team members and clients. Staff must display patience and understanding when dealing with clients.
• Staff should maintain a sense of urgency but also remember to maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain a clean appearance at all times
• Sign in and out at the office for each shift

Location:

• Daily shifts will be from the primary work location at Odessa ON K0H 2H0.
• Staff parking is provided at the entrance to the grounds.
• The average shift will be from 7am-3pm. Some evenings, weekend shifts and stat holidays will be required from time to time

Requirements:

• Minimum one year experience driving and operating Pump trucks, loading and unloading portable toilets.
• Maintain a clean driving record and criminal record
• Must be able to provide a letter of driving experience from a previous employer
• Have a valid driver’s license, G or greater, comfortable driving medium duty trucks with a trailer
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently and safely maneuver up to 165 pounds using appropriate tools or assistance
• Be able to work in Canada
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English.
