Job Title: Indigenous Professors (Part-Time)

We welcome candidates with a university degree (preferred) and/or a combination of indigenous knowledge and lived experience in a teaching, knowledge learning, and learning role.
Teaching assignment start dates will be on an as needed basis.
Qualifications:
The incumbent has lived experience as a First Nation, Métis, or Inuit person
Knowledge of Indigenous peoples colonization experience within Canadian history
Knowledge and ability to incorporate indigenous knowledge/teaching in the principles of cultural safety across a variety of disciplines
Previous post-secondary teaching experience informed by excellence with various learning theories and methods preferred
Highly effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a postsecondary setting
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of educational technologies as well as the use of remote delivery
In-person, on-campus position. Must be able to reliably commute to North Bay, ON
Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver and evaluate effective learning related to the course
Work closely with students and colleagues to provide an optimal learning environment
Perform all responsibilities associated with the learning environment including preparation, delivery, and evaluation of theory and practical learning activities
