Indspire is seeking a Student Caller (Part-time employment) to start immediately. They will support the strategic goals of Indspire by assisting with donor thank-you calls and gain valuable experience in the field of fundraising and the charitable sector.
Key Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Donor Relations & Gift Processing Coordinators, the Student Caller will learn and develop techniques to improve the structure and style of calls; entering donor information and feedback accurately in a confidential database; and other related duties as may be required.
As a Student Caller, you will have the opportunity to reach out to Indspire’s donors by phoning to thank them for their donation, reminding them of the anniversary of their first gift, and following up on changes in credit card information and expiry dates for monthly gifts.
Position Qualifications
We are seeking dependable students who are either current participants in Indspire’s Rivers to Success program or have been supported with a scholarship, bursary or award through our Building Brighter Futures program.
Student Callers will have:
- excellent communication and negotiation skills,
- exceptional attention to detail,
- excellent people skills, including active listening,
- comfortable engaging individuals by telephone, and,
- are familiar with Microsoft Office and basic database management.
Experience working in a call centre or in a fundraising setting would be considered an asset.

Schedule
Each Student Caller is required to work a minimum of two shifts per week within the following timeframe:
- Monday - Thursday 2:00 to 5:00 OR 4:00 to 7:00pm.
Schedules are determined based on student availability.
